Workshop – featuring Fright Night
A group of young women joined us for an empowering 12-week workshop designed specifically for girls aged 12-18 in Croydon. This engaging program offered a safe space to discuss a variety of important topics, providing valuable insights and support for girls dealing with trauma and abuse.
Each session featured interesting discussions led by professionals and peers, covered themes such as self-esteem, mental health, resilience, and healthy relationships. Participants had the chance to connect with others who shared similar experiences and learn from their journeys.
As a special highlight, participants enjoyed a surprise trip to Thorpe Park Fright Night, adding an exciting element to this transformative experience.
This workshop was supported by local charities for girls in London dedicated to creating positive change.
Participants from our workshop also decided to attend the ‘Let’s Build Trust’ event, held on November 26, 2022, at Fairfield Halls. Although it was an early morning start, the day was filled with valuable insights, thanks to MP Simran Asghari, representatives from the MET Police, Paxton Academy, and local safer neighbourhood teams. The event also highlighted the importance of counselling for young women, providing essential support and resources for those in need.
